RFiD THREADS® TECHNOLOGY
MATERIAL SPECS
Micro-chip is the “bump” in the centre of a 15cm metal antenna.
Can be cut slightly shorter with less readability
Encapsulated in resin to withstand washing, drying, tumbling at -35 C to 200 C
Highly flexible and robust
4 option for RFiD THREADS® plus can be manufactured shorter and read less distance:
non-washable
30 washes/cleaning,
60 washes/cleaning
thickest for tyres. The RFiD THREADS® itself is circular; the 10 cm metal thread can be recovered, reset and recycled into new products. It uses less than 1% of metal compared to existing RFiD ‘tag’ saving 12.5 billion units going to landfill globally per year after sale.
RFiD THREADS® are scanned using commercial UHF scanners. The Starter Pack includes a pre-set Chainway C72 reader
RFiD THREADS® generate a unique QR Code, NFC ring code and barcode for customer engagement.
The technology is patented and protected globally
Cannot be physically lost/stolen or mistakenly separated - stays with the garment wherever it goes
RFiD thread Tensile strength: 10 N to 100 N/mm2 +
Is washable, can withstand washing, drying, tumbling at temperatures -35 C to 200 C
Contains data that can be updated in real-time; is dynamic
Depending on dissembling stage many threads will be able to recovered, reset and reused
Solves the problem of identifying, sorting, categorising wanted and unwanted products for reuse and recycling opportunities just by passing through a corresponding scanner (fixed or hand-held)
Hand held UHF scanners reads 1cm to 5m and hundreds of products instantly and provides multi industry connectivity
Unlocks potential for garments pre- and post-sale, providing future opportunities for manufacturers and retailers.
It used less than 1% of metal compared to existing 'tags’ attached to garments saving 12.5 billion units going to landfill globally per year after sale.

e-waste removal
The metallic thread is able to be removed manually or magnetized. Testing will be done to recover the threads after garments are commercially composted or re-processed through enzymes.
This enables us to retrieve and return threads to the system where they are able to be reset and reused.
